Aujourdâ€™hui siÃ¨ge de lâ€™AssemblÃ©e populaire nationale, ce bÃ¢timent sâ€™inspire de lâ€™hÃ´tel de ville que les frÃ¨res Niermans rÃ©alisent en France pour la ville de Puteaux en 1931. Ã€ Alger, ils collaborent avec lâ€™architecte algÃ©rois Jean-LÃ©on FerliÃ© qui assure le suivi du chantier. &#13;

Tout comme lâ€™hÃ´tel Es Safir, cet emblÃ©matique bÃ¢timent bÃ©nÃ©ficie dâ€™un emplacement privilÃ©giÃ© sur le front de mer oÃ¹ sa monumentalitÃ© est mise en scÃ¨ne. Selon une composition classique, lâ€™hÃ´tel de ville est percÃ© de fenÃªtres circulaires en forme de hublots empruntÃ©es Ã  lâ€™architecture navale et Ã©voquant le â€œstyle Paquebotâ€, couramment utilisÃ© durant les annÃ©es 1930.</text>
